Becoming Sophia is an online creative arts community- it’s a 12 month journey through the Zodiac, mixed media arts, journal writing, meditation, and dreamwork.

Each Month we post a Zodiac constellation- and discuss the virtue associated with it. (did you know there are corresponding virtues ?) and as Becoming Sophia is grounded in personal development, self-empowerment and artistic explorations of the Goddesses we find all over the world, we take a look at our own deeper story.

You will receive the monthly online log in to Classroom, that has vlogs and weekly prompts-videos are pre-recorded so you can log in any time all over the word!

Tune in for the weekly Mindfulness meditations based on Steiner's 6 Basic exercises and discussions/vlogs/blogs on how to work with them in practical ways in our daily life.

We are so lucky to have Richard Steel here for the long weekend workshop on the colored pencils drawings of Karl Konig. If I may so so, the tenderness of these images are "Christed" and filled with love. If we stand in front of them and ponder, we can come away strengthened in our will and our conscience - they are "morally uplifting" in a very real sense.

In each of us dwells the 3-4-5 year old and I could sense a Response "There! That is Me! or There Dwells a divine "I" being!

The depth and respect Richard Steel has for Karl Konig's work is evident. But to feel the Heart Forces so active in his talks is a real blessing.

Yesterday we were taken on a journey through Time & Space with the Calendar verses & images and Richard ends with how Rudolf Steiner gives us the ARTS as the way through HEART-FEELING, (not Thinking) to Anthroposophy.

and I couldn't help recalling GA 236 June 4, 1924 Whitsuntide where RS reveals the Sun mystery of Time & Space. I am listening to this lecture on Steiner Audio every day=thanks Dale Brunsvald!

Listening to Richard move through Time & Space with the calendar verses- and their time motifs--there are so many anthroposophical deep mysteries to be studied and how lucky we are to be alive!!

ART & DREAM HOLY NIGHTS ONLINE CLASS

The Dream Song of Olaf Asteson is an ancient Norwegian folk song. The poem-song tells us about Olaf falling asleep on Christmas eve and “sleeps” through the holy nights and awakening on epiphany January 6th. Rudolf Steiner tells us that while “sleeping,” Olaf experiences secrets of the human being and the cosmos. The dream-song gives us the “spiritual” pictures in poetic form of his initiation journey. As Joseph Campbell reminds us, the Hero’s Journey is found in myths, legends, and poem-songs. The 12 holy nights have been called “time outside of time” or “sacred time.” It’s a wonderful way to end the year and begin the new.

How does it work? This is a self-study so you can log into the class any time during the day or night if you are traveling or snug cozy at home. The Dream Poem is long and divided into 12 sections/nights. Every day the poem, art, Zodiac Sign, and Virtue is posted, and we have original music to listen to, with art videos, prompts, and tips for recalling dreams and sacred sleep practices, and enchanting narratives to amplify your journey.

This is your invitation to have a dream-art-writing retreat over the Holy Nights; to rejuvenate, review the past year, and rekindle your deeper self for 2024. Each night, we can recall our dreams, create a small painting-drawing-mandala, and write from our hearts what this mythic dream poem brings to us.
